Kerushii’s form jumped up high, yelling from excitement, “Yes! We get to go exploring!” Indeed it had been way too long since they actually got to step foot out without having to worry as much. Lately there hadn’t really been any other “living” thing out there to stop them, but surely what weapons they did have would aid them when they needed it. The small female pointed her bat towards a long roadway where almost no buildings could surround it. “I know for a fact there’s an amusement park that way!” she yelled, “Can’t we go, Max?”

Ever the cautious, Max cringed a little when Kerushii spoke so loudly, afraid that she would attract an unwanted someone or something. She looked the way the other’s bat pointed and seemed to debate before nodding. “Yeah, that sounds like fun.” She turned and smiled at her friend. “We can. But keep a watch out for anything, and lower your voice just a little.” She didn’t want to completely discourage the girl’s enthusiasm; after all, it had to rub off on herself.

The younger female rested her now crimson coloured bat over her shoulder; acting as if the best thing in the world had just happened to her. “Yeah yeah! I’m fine Max!” Her body then rested itself a bit as she lowered her bat and her arms, in a common baseball players form before they were about to hit a home-run. “Zombies ain’t got nothing on me!” She yelled out happily before finally realizing that the older female could very well be a little upset with the fact that she had left the safe zone where they once stayed. “Should I go back inside..?” She questioned, lowering her bat to her side with a frown upon her face.

Max couldn’t help but to smile at her antics; childish, but it made their situation a bit brighter. At the other’s question, she pursed her lips. “If you want to… or we could try wandering a bit. The area seems clear, and we’re both armed if anything happens. Maybe we’ll find someplace to eat, or come across something fun to do.” Max herself was starting to feel trapped in the school, a bit restless, and the idea sounded good to her, so why not? She only hoped that nothing would go terribly wrong.

Damnit. I lost her, again… Max sighed, looking all around the school for her younger companion. The school was their “safe” place, their hiding place, and, so far, Max couldn’t find her friend anywhere. Hmm.. where else would she be…? Max stopped for a moment to think, starting to get worried that she’d wandered outside of the school. With this thought, she quickly equipped her two pistols and rushed outside, knowing how dangerous it was but not really caring; if Kerushii was in danger, she’d risk anything. She ran out to the street, looking around before she spotted her friend, fighting off two zombies. She frowned slightly and ran over to her, raising one of her guns and shooting at one of the zombies, watching as the bullet hit his head and fell dead. She reached Kerushii just as she finished off the other one, stopping next to her. 

“Are you okay?” Max asked, looking over the other female for any wounds.
